Terminus Group lauds Expo 2020 Dubai as perfect business platform as talabat and HMH Hotel Group deals signed

Expo 2020 Dubai’s Official Premier Partner brings automated food delivery and smart hospitality to new levels

Dubai, UAE, 16 February 2022: Terminus Group, official premier partner to Expo 2020 Dubai, and company behind the event’s now famous orange robot mascot, Opti, has announced two major deals – both signed during the first half of Expo 2020 Dubai. The first with talabat, the Official Food Delivery Provider for Expo 2020, the other with Hospitality Management Holding (HMH) Hotel Group, owners of five hotel brands across the Middle East and Africa.

The signings, held at Terminus Group’s new regional HQ, located at the heart of the Expo 2020 in Al Wasl Dome, suggests an increasing appetite for automation and robotics – particularly from the F&B and hospitality sectors.

For talabat, that extends to 10 “tala-bots” – autonomous delivery robots serving Expo 2020 visitors, across the 4.83km2 site – custom-designed by Terminus Group and talabat. For HMH, hospitality-focused robots will cater to guests at ECOS Dubai Hotel at Al Furjan – with a view to expanding that across the hotel group in the future.

The deal with HMH will see the ECOS Dubai Hotel at Al Furjan, take on two types of robots – The Titan Series Delivery Robots for room and F&B service functions, and Attendant Robots to perform concierge and information services.
