Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, international exchanges and cooperation in the broadcasting industry have been affected. Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, as an industry authority, is helping Chinese companies to overcome the difficulties brought by the epidemic and will organize 21 broadcasting technology companies to form “China (Beijing) Pavilion” and participate in the online exhibition of BroadcastAsia2022 held from June 1st to June 3rd.

BroadcastAsia2022 is an international industry exhibition in Asia that brings together specialist content in broadcasting, communications and satellite. China (Beijing) Broadcasting Technology Innovation Pavilion aims to build an international promotion platform for Chinese broadcasting technology enterprises, helping them to expand into international markets and explore cooperation opportunities.

Since 2016, Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau has repeatedly organized innovative enterprises engaged in broadcasting research and development as well as equipment manufacturing in Beijing for overseas promotion and has achieved fruitful results. This year’s exhibition will continue the format of online exhibition of 2021 to showcase the innovative products and technological achievements of broadcasting technology enterprises. Through a series of rich online activities such as product display, video promotion, audience invitation, media promotion, live streaming and cloud signing (for extension), an online communication platform will be set up for exhibitors and professional visitors from the industry.

During the “14th Five-Year Plan period, Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau will encourage the development of innovative enterprises as a policy direction to promote industrial upgrading, implement and promote the “going global” of Beijing’s broadcasting technology and the “bringing in” of international advanced technology, and vigorously promote the specialization of foreign promotion.

In addition to the live streaming at the internet live streaming room erected at the UHDTV Research and Application Laboratory, NRTA in Beijing (hereinafter referred to as the “UHD Lab”), an offline exhibition area will also be established at the UHD Lab to promote new products, services and technologies of the exhibitors on site.

China (Beijing) Pavilion LIVE will be presented in conjunction with 21 broadcasting technology enterprises in Beijing and Tianjin on the exhibition website and live streaming platform in a variety of interactive ways, including thematic displays, live streaming and interactive viewing. The live streaming platform will host eight live events every day, where exhibitors may introduce innovative products and technical solutions online and interact with the audiences in real time. A number of cloud signing ceremonies will also be held during the event.
